I am currently looking to buy another horse and one of my candidates is a tovero Paint with two blue eyes. The horse is being shown and has been kept in a barn most of the time in the summer and turned out in the winter. I know that horses with light pigment around the eyes can be more succeptible to eye cancer and this horse happens to luckily have dark pigment around both eyes but I didn't know if having blue eyes would also predispose him to this problem or to other eye problems. Does anyone know anything about this? If purchased, this horse would be turned out in pasture year around.
